Gazze Destek distributes Ramadan food baskets to vulnerable families among the Rohingya community

The Rohingya… a wound that has remained open for decades

A people stripped of identity and forcibly displaced from their villages in campaigns described by the United Nations as ethnic cleansing. Thousands were killed, hundreds of villages burned, and more than 700,000 displaced persons now live in overcrowded camps in Bangladesh.

In Cox’s Bazar and beyond, the Rohingya struggle to survive amid dire conditions limited access to food and clean water, inadequate healthcare and education, and complete dependence on humanitarian assistance. An entire generation is growing up without hope, without opportunity, without a homeland.

The GDD team visited displacement camps, carrying messages of hope and solidarity, and implemented the Ramadan food basket project as part of the #RevivingRamadanWithGoodness campaign, to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable families facing difficult humanitarian conditions.

The Rohingya crisis is a forgotten humanitarian issue… and it needs the world to listen. 🌍

Be their voice.
