The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has launched an urgent appeal to save two million displaced individuals in the Gaza Strip as winter approaches and the condition of their tents deteriorates, warning of an impending humanitarian disaster.

At the same time, the media office in Gaza stated that 100,000 out of 135,000 tents have become unfit for use due to damage from the sun and harsh climate conditions. These tents, made of wood, nylon, and fabric, can no longer provide the minimum level of protection for the displaced after 11 months of displacement.
