URGENT APPEAL for a campaign to raise funds for the earthquake victims
A real catastrophe that our brothers in Turkey and Syria are experiencing as a result of the earthquake that struck the region at dawn on Monday, February 6, 2023 A.D., with a magnitude of 7.9 on the Richter scale, causing damage to hundreds of homes, as well as hospitals, schools, and mosques, and leaving hundreds of victims, amidst difficult humanitarian conditions and a wave of frost and severe cold that is striking these areas.
Damages in Turkey:
• The fall of 152.000 residential buildings killed around 43.556 people and injured 115.128 others.
• On southern provinces were impacted (Gaziantep, Hatay, Adana, Mersin, Diyarbakir, anlurfa, Osmaniye, and Antalya).
Damages in Syria:
• The fall of 7.000 residential buildings killed around 6.525 people and injured 13.333 others.
• Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, Latakia, Tartus, Damascus, Latakia, and several other provinces were affected by the earthquake.
The world today is witnessing one of the most tragic tragedies in human history and one of the most horrific destructions in human history. A devastating earthquake struck Türkiye and Syria, affecting the lives of its citizens.
