Introducing the “Reviving Ramadan with Goodness”
A charitable humanitarian campaign held by the Gazze Destek Association to alleviate the suffering of the poor and needy families in Palestine during the holy month of Ramadan through supporting services and social and relief projects provided by the association to the poor. This campaign is the fourth implemented by the association throughout the previous years through various digital and traditional marketing channels.
Campaign launch date: from April 20 to May 5.
The message of “Reviving Ramadan with Goodness” campaign
Empowering poor families and alleviating their suffering in the short term (during the month of Ramadan), and in the long term by highlighting their suffering and informing people through social media, and through implemented projects to support and draw a smile on the faces of the poor in Palestinians, especially in the Gaza Strip that has been under siege for more than 16 years. As a result, the strip has been witnessing a poverty rate of 69% and extreme poverty rate of 33.3%, while 70% of people are facing food insecurity or lack of food, and the families’ dependence on aid has reached 86.1%, while the unemployment rate is close to 50%.
The Programs and Projects of the Campaign
After Palestine and the Gaza Strip went through a devastating aggression that had a significant impact on the economic and living standards of the residents in the Gaza Strip in particular and in Palestine in general, and in light of the deficiency of supportive institutions and funding for humanitarian projects for Palestine in the recent period, GDD has presented a set of projects that contribute to the support of the poor families there through:
- Iftar meal for a fasting individual $3
- Iftar meal for a poor family $10
- Iftar meal for a fasting elderly $3
- Suhoor meal for a fasting individual $1.2
- Preparation of mosques for prayers $1,000
- Sponsoring a poor family $150

Channels used to disseminate the campaign:
The Ramadan campaign is launched through the social media platforms of the association (Twitter – Instagram – Facebook – YouTube – mobile donation messages – e-mail magazine – website), targeting different communities through 4 languages (Arabic – English – Turkish – Indonesian) with the aim of expanding the scope of the services provided by the association and to benefit the largest possible segment of the poor and needy families in Palestine through the implemented projects and programs by the association during the holy month of Ramadan.
